Tomorrow is the third Sunday of Advent. We will light the third candle on the advent ring which is the pink candle for joy (‘gaudete’). The service theme from the Gospel reading is
the message of John the Baptist, (“you brood of vipers …”) so let’s see how we the Vicar’s address manages to combine that with joy. We have a cake sale and raffle to follow the morning service – which certainly fits in with joy!
Chinthurst School held their Carol Service in church last Friday and this week it is the turn of Tadworth Primary School. It means there is no mid-week service this week so the school can rehearse for their two carol concerts on Thursday.
The new sanctuary curtains were installed last week and look splendid.

Church Explorers gather in the meeting room before the service. Church Explorers will be meeting on three Sundays this month (8th, 15th and 22nd).
A Christmas bring and buy, cake bake sale and raffle will follow the service.

The Travelling Nativity (Posada)
The travelling nativity is on its journey round Tadworth. There is still time for it to visit your home. Please speak to Church Explorers leaders Laura or Lis.
Meditations for the Twelve Days of Christmas
There are booklets at the back of church with these meditations from Christmas Day to Epiphany.
