Sunday 30th March: Mothering Sunday and 4th Sunday of Lent

The first Wednesday of the month is usually when our Mothers’ Union branch come to the weekly 10am mid-week Communion service. But this coming Wednesday there will be no mid-week service as Chinthurst School are holding their end of Term service in church. The Mothers’ Union members are warmly invited to the mid-week service on the following Wednesday (9th April). The Lent Reflection and Lent Lunch will take place as usual in the Meeting Room, and coffee will be served there before the Lent Reflection as usual. The soups at the Lent Lunch that follows have been delicious.

Just to mention that overnight the clocks go forward, so please don’t arrive an hour late for tomorrow’s services!

May Christ bless and guide you,

Tim

We continue to pray for Revd Sharon Blain, at home again after a further visit to hospital this week.

Please pray for Mark, currently homeless, that he may find the help he is seeking.

Confirmation in 2025

We will be hosting a Confirmation Service for Reigate Deanery on Sunday 15th June at 5 pm. Confirmation preparation sessions for older children and for adults and will take place over six weeks on Sunday afternoons starting on May 4th. Please let Tim the Vicar know if you would like to prepare for Confirmation or if you have questions about what is involved.

Adults can also prepare by taking part in this year’s Lent Group. Thank you for those of you who have already told me about your interest in Confirmation.

Electoral Roll Revision

Thank you to everyone who has returned a form already. There are forms and a return box at the back of the church.

The electoral roll is the list of people who can vote for PCC members at the APCM. It is also a sign of ‘membership’ of this church. This year a completely new roll is being made (which happens every six years), so everyone on the old roll has to make a new application, together with people who have started coming to the church more recently.
